Secure boot chain meets OE/Yocto Linux REE
hexBLUE boots through a hardware-anchored secure boot chain, loads OP-TEE as the trusted execution environment, and combines it with an OE/Yocto-based Linux REE. The result is a layered stack for edge devices that protects applications while still providing an agile development environment.
Trusted execution and wireless connectivity
OP-TEE encapsulates key material, certificates, and PKI operations. In parallel, Wi-Fi 6, BLE 5.4, Thread, and Matter-ready wireless modules run alongside CAN, LIN, and RS-485 fieldbus interfaces.
Tempo2Market integration
OE/Yocto builds from Tempo2Market provide reproducible releases, CI/CD hooks, and remote update capabilities - ideal for payment and access solutions or root-of-trust projects.
Secure boot chain with OP-TEE
A complete secure boot chain with the OP-TEE trusted execution environment interlocks the secure world operating system with the OE/Yocto-based Linux REE. Key material, certificates, and cryptographic operations are protected in the trusted world, while applications in Linux userland can be developed and updated freely - including remote updates via Tempo2Market.
- Hardware root of trust, TPM, and HSM integrations
- Secure firmware updates and provisioning paths
- PKI-backed device identities for cloud and fieldbus scenarios
Use cases
hexBLUE scales from payment terminals to security-critical infrastructure.
